The 93rd edition of IPCM magazine dedicated an article to a new Trasmetal signature painting plant at customer Domoferm, a leading manufacturer of doors and frames for the residential and commercial sectors. The goal was to meet the growing demand for customized products and increase production capacity while maintaining high quality standards.
Highlights of the project:
- Compact and technologically advanced plant.
- Ability to offer more than 100 different finishes, including for technical products such as fire, acoustic or burglar-resistant doors.
- Improved productivity: up to 500 pieces per shift for standard products.
- High flexibility due to line designed for quick color changes and custom machining.
The new plant required a complete redesign of the production space due to structural constraints and product complexity. The most delicate phase was polymerization, which was optimized through a combined IR + convection oven cycle.
Despite the challenges, including the pandemic, the project was successfully completed, providing Domoferm with a major step forward in terms of efficiency, quality, and customization capabilities.
